Services > Senior ServicesCongregate DiningThe Wheeling Pavilion Senior Center hosts a congregate dining program
for older adults 60 years and better. The program highlights the
diversity of Wheeling by offering a variety of ethnic favorites as well
as American standards. Services and information will be available in
many languages including Spanish, Russian, Polish, Korean, and others as
needed. A nutritionally balanced lunch will be served Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday from 11:30am until 1:00pm. to registered
participants. Social activities and informational programs are a
part of this program as well. Each participant receives written
information regarding the cost of the meal and has the opportunity to
contribute to part or all of the cost of the meal. This program
runs from October 2009 through September 2010. Funds for this program
are provided through an award from AgeOptions under the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act, through the Illinois Department on Aging
and Federal Administration on Aging.
