Rate Schedule

On March 2, 2009, the Village of Wheeling approved an extended five-year exclusive franchise agreement with Waste Management (WM) for the collection of residential refuse, recycling and landscape waste as well as commercial refuse and recycling. This agreement became effective on June 1, 2009.

The current rates for residential collections for June 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011 are:

Single Family Homes (once weekly collection)….....$19.73
Single Family Homes (twice weekly collection)….....$24.18
Townhomes/Duplex (once weekly collection)……...$14.73
Townhomes/Duplex (twice weekly collection)……..$19.62

25% Senior Citizen Discount: For households composed of one or two senior adults where at least one of the senior adults is age 62 years or older and is the primary home occupant. The discount is limited to a two person household with one or two seniors. One discount per household only, not per senior. After application is received and approved, the discount may not be reflected until the next billing phase. Once a resident is approved for the discount, there is no need to re-apply each year.
