Bulk/White Goods Pickup Service

Due to EPA regulations, the following items cannot be disposed of in Illinois landfills: tires, household appliances, toxic products such as automotive batteries, paint products, insecticides, oil, and antifreeze.

As part of the regular service, one large household item such as a bicycle, table, chair, mattress will be collected on the normal trash day free of charge.

Any special item requiring collection should be called into the Waste Management Northwest office 2 days prior to the regular trash day. They will schedule the pickup and discuss applicable fees.

Construction debris from remodeling projects such as paneling, drywall must be called in for an estimate and will be picked up at a rate of $10.00 per cubic yard. Debris must be tied in bundles or placed in cans or bags. Please keep total weight of a single bundle or can/bag no more than 45 pounds.

Carpeting must be rolled, taped or tied in bundles no more than 3 feet long and 2 feet wide in diameter. Residents must call Waste Management for an estimate prior to pickup.

Cardboard should be flattened and bundled in stacks no longer than 2 feet. Bundles may be tied with twine.

All items are to be placed at the curb by 6:00am on the collection day
