Capital Improvement Projects

One of the responsibilities of the Public Works Department is the administration of public improvements within the Village. The Department prepares the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and implements the plan by producing designs, plans and specifications and managing/performing construction inspections of capital improvement projects. The CIP, updated on an annual basis, addresses the Village's infrastructure needs. The CIP includes street, water system, storm sewer system, sanitary sewer system, street lighting, sidewalk, and/or other special projects.

The current and recently completed major capital improvement projects in the Village of Wheeling are as follows:
