Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspections

The Wheeling Police Department has Certified Passenger Safety Technicians who are available to inspect your Child Safety Seat to ensure it is properly installed. The technicians are assigned to all 3 shifts and are available to inspect seats on an appointment only basis.

To make an appointment please call the non-emergency Police Department number at 847-459-2950. Please leave your name and a number where you can be reached. A technician will call you back to schedule an appointment.

Prior to your appointment you should install the seat according to the seat and vehicle manufacturers instructions.
