Flooding - Elevation Certificates

The Engineering Division maintains copies of Elevation Certificates received by the Village for public inspection and insurance rating for many structures located in or adjacent to the floodplain.

The Elevation Certificate documents the lowest floor elevation of any new building or substantially improved building in the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). If you obtain an Elevation Certificate for your property, please submit a copy to the Village for our records.  

The Village maintains Elevation Certificates dating back to 1990. To review Elevation Certificates, please call the Engineering Division at (847) 459-2620 between 7:00am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

These certificates are prepared by Licensed Professional Engineers, Architects or Land Surveyors registered in our State. Blank forms may be found at the FEMA Elevation Certificate Page.
